I have been reading and reviewing books since about 2004, originally by Review The Book which required posting my review to 10 sites. Since then I've automatically reviewed any books I read. I previously worked as a proof-reader both for a publisher and for the professors I worked with at the University of British Columbia. My husband & I moved to northern B.C. in 2006 where we were welcomed by 4 ft. of snow Oct. 27. The photo of the pygmy owl was taken out our window. I got to know the people at the Northern Lights Wildlife Refuge when I submitted them into a funding competition and as a result I was allowed to hold a 3-4 week old baby black bear! I am a recent widow and my husband was a rapid reader primarily of WWII history (and a collector of militaria). I have 3 adult children and 4 older teen grandchildren.
