Literature, More or Less: A Short Story Collection is the English-language edition of Japanese fiction writer Eikyo Matsunaga’s short-story collection. A clinic prescribes rice instead of medicine. Restaurant customers prepare their own meals. Everyday situations slip into absurdity, and the characters treat them with complete seriousness.
Eikyo Matsunaga is forging ahead at the world’s leading edge of literature. This expresses his creative direction. Having experimented with AI-generated writing and competed with it, he seeks a distinctive human voice and regards the act of human writing as a form of resistance in the AI era.
