Ruth Estevez is the author of the Jiddy Vardy Trilogy set in the smuggling community of 18th century Robin Hood's Bay, as well as the novels Erosion, Meeting Coty and The Monster Belt.
Ruth's background is in theatre and television, working in theatres from Scotland to London. She stage managed on TV's Emmerdale and wrote scripts for the children's animated series, Bob the Builder. Currently, Ruth is the project co-ordinator for the Portico Sadie Massey Awards reading and writing competitions based at Manchester's Portico Library.
