Dominic was born in Banbury, Oxfordshire, near the geographical centre of England. From boyhood, he was an avid reader, and people wondered why he went on to study the dusty disciplines of Physics and Computer Science. After gaining a degree and a reputation at snooker, he taught in the UK for two years. A passionate desire to explore brought him to Sierra Leone, West Africa, where he travelled and taught for another two years. On his return, he settled 'up country' in deepest Yorkshire and became an IT professional. Now retired, he would like to encourage readers to try the historical thriller. Set in WWI, 'Room 40' is his first novel in historical fiction.
