I write humorous fantasy stories for children drawing from my experiences as a research biologist in Africa, a farming life, teaching and lecturing. Books have been a great love in my life. When my children were young, I fed them Dr Seuss, Roald Dahl and everything that lit up their eyes. I was rewarded by observing their book ratings when they dived into the world of reading for themselves. Their ratings have influenced my writing, and I am indebted to them for firing up my imagination.
